Unit Two: Prefix and Suffix
English Vocabulary Online
Prefix: A prefix (ศัพท์นำหน้า) is a group of letters that is added to the beginning of a word. A suffix (คำศัพท์ต่อท้าย) is added to the end of a word.
Prefixes (ศัพท์นำหน้า) change the meanings of words (เปลี่ยนความหมายของคำ)For example, the prefix un- (or u-n) can mean “not,” (ไม่), “remove,” or “opposite.” Adding un- to the word “happy” gives you the word “unhappy,” (ไม่มีความสุข) which means not happy.
